Conservatory’s can leak for many reasons with perished seals being one of the more obvious causes. If you’re having this problem then read further on.

Conservatory seals are usually made of plastic or rubber, meaning they can deteriorate with age. They also deteriorate if in contact with corrosive materials and incompatible detergents. If your seals have deteriorated, then it’s best that you replace the seals as soon as possible.

When resealing the conservatory make sure to check the weather and do so on a dry day. Nothing worse than rain ruining your sealant efforts. Make sure to also have some masking tape handy, as this is a great item to help the sealant job. Leave a 0.5cm gap between the tap and the frame, so the seal catches on to the conservatory.
