Building an Energy Neutral Home

With the increased energy costs, and with the knowledge that climate change is happening, and humans are the cause, because of their energy consumption, designing homes which don’t use much energy needs to become the industry standard. There has been a great deal of innovation regarding this, both by creating their own energy, and by reducing the amount of energy needed. There are numerous products which can produce energy sustainably, like solar panels, and heat sinks; all of which can help to make your home energy self sufficient. The other part of building an energy neutral home is by reducing its energy consumption. You can do this by buying products which accomplish this to some extent, like wall insulation, and double glazing windows, but there are other ways as well. If you start a housing development, you can build homes which require little energy, just due to the way they were built. By this, I mean using less energy to produce the building materials, and also building the homes shape in a way which retains heat energy better than what the average home does.
