There are many more houses in the UK building conservatories each year, with the popularity of a glass room increasing as time goes on. For the majority of the year, a conservatory is a nice room to occupy in the UK, with only winter time being the worst time of year to use the room.
One perk of having a conservatory is the light which you can sit in during the day, not having to worry about the weather… Unless it’s winter time or extremely hot of course!
One thing you should avoid is having to rely on the conservatory as living space in your home. The reason we say this is due to the room being unusable during certain months of the year. Of course, you can put a heater in the room during the winter months but the amount of energy used to warm the room up is extremely high.
